It's time to put on those dancing shoes and satisfy that urge to shake, rattle and roll!

With our first installation of Dance Fest as one of Esplanade's growing range of festivals, we are proud to present to you Footwork, a series of dance workshops ranging from hip hop to swing, conducted in our very own Rehearsal Studio where stars local and internationally acclaimed have walked before. Always been interested in flamenco or salsa? Here's your chance to have a taste of these classes to find out for yourself what these dance genres are really like. As part of our Esplanade Youths programme, we're offering you an array of dance forms at a special concession fee of just $11 per class. Excited yet? Let's get on with the details.

Here's how it works...

Step One. Choose from the list of classes below

12.08.06 Sat, 2pm - 4pm MTV Dancing / Hip Hop
12.08.06 Sat, 4.30pm - 6.30pm Salsa
13.08.06 Sun, 2pm - 4pm Modern Jazz / Jazz
13.08.06 Sun, 4.30pm - 6.30pm Swing Dancing / Lindy Hop
19.08.06 Sat, 2pm - 4pm MTV Dancing / Hip Hop
19.08.06 Sat, 4.30pm - 6.30pm Salsa
20.08.06 Sun, 2pm - 4pm Belly Dancing
20.08.06 Sun, 4.30pm - 6.30pm Flamenco
Step Two. Gather your friends.
Each class can accomodate up to 30 people, so email, sms, call your fellow booty-shaking friends and be ready for a swinging good time!

Step Three. Send us your favoured dance form, date, time and confirmed number of people with contact details via email - kgina@esplanade.com by Fri, 7 July, 12pm. We will review your choices and complete the booking process by confirming the dates and dance workshops that you have requested.

Step Four. Give us a few moments to note down your requests and we will send you a confirmation of your booking.

In four easy steps, you will have secured a fun, exciting and intense learning experience for yourself and friends. All Esplanade Youths who secure a dance class will recieve a special gift from us. So what are you waiting for? Get moving, and let's dance!

My encounter with grey long tail and grey 2

People say they're pretty,

people say they're cute.

People say that they're the sweetest lil thing around the neighbourhood,

I say its bullshit.

They're dirty,

they're evil,

and they chase Toby.

This evening, grey long tail and grey 2 appeared.

New born, no less.

Skinny bones with piercing blue eyes.

They looked at me with a pleading look,

they walked to me with shaky legs.

They drank from the dirty drain,

they ate what was obvious leftovers they sweeper 'forgot' to clear.

Immediate, I ran back home.

Grabed some bread, poured some milk

and I found them where I left them.

''Meow meow'' I said.

''Promise I wouldn't bash you up like the pervert featured on the newspaper.''

They came,

they drank,

they ate,

and I think they smiled.

What happen in the end,

was a student late for her econs class.

Very late.

Perfected weather! No kidding!!!

Tuesday morning sun was shinning brightly.

3 of us headed down the famous Palawan Beach.

The sun, the sea, the clear blue skies,

Bought back memories of then, now and the future.

Minutes ticked passed,

the tanned gets tanner, the fair gets redder.
Oil rubbed, chips eaten, water drank, laughters filled the beach,
with the tanned sunning under the clear skies.
and the fair under the coconut tree.

Only did the shadow of the tree
indicated the passing of time,
the color of the skin
to conclude the day.

From 11a.m to 4p.m,
just the 3 of us,
with the sun, the sea, and the clear blue skies.

Sweet company, great companion.
Whats more to life,
then a pleasant time with friends.

The sun, the sea, the clear blue skies,
make me felt blissful and contented,
make me think of you, of them.
Of then, of now, of the future.

Headed to Crystal Jade Golden Palace in Paragon. erm..... it look a lil too intimidating especially when we're in shorts and flip flops!!!

So went to the Taka's Crystal Jade Restaurant

Taste SUPER GOOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Felt like crying. hahahhaaaa
Always feels very very touched after eating tastly food!

And this meal, cost us only $7 each!
Of course due to the courtesy of Bobby's $30 voucher =)

Having to walk pass Forever21 to get to the stationi s always a killer.
No difference this time round.
What a love hate relationship I have with Forever21.

In quite a delimma right now.
Should I get the Addidas or the Papillio?

WAH!
Seann William Scott very handsome!

Just watched Bullet Proof Monk.
Mum was busy wowing over Chou Yun Fat.
And I'm busy wowing over Seann William Scott. hahhaha

Read from the Straits Time that Japan invented this pillow, that has a sensor which measures head and body movement to calculate how much pleasant sleep the user has. Its made of soft urethane fabric and the pillow analses slumber pattern! It also gives advices and suggestions to ya! COOL! I think thats what I need since I seldom have a good night sleep. Actually I don't understand why either. It takes me very long to fall into sleep, and I kept dreaming! and then I'll just wake up early and feels as though I don't have a good night sleep. This is rather irritating. Thus, I wanna learn the art of sleeping!!!

3 hours of intensive lecture is draining up my brain power thus causing my energy level to drop!

SCARLET HOTEL!

Yea!! Went to Parkway Parade with mummy today!

And we finally ate what we wanted to eat all along
(cos daddy dun allow us to eat heaty stuff and beef...heehee)

Ended the whole lunch with glass jelly!
This is good cos its not sweet!!! Healthy!

Oh and this stupid ha-gao. The WORST I've ever tasted.
The skin is SO THICK and the prawn is not fresh. SUCKS.

Went to a lil shopping trip...
Controlled very well today.
By the way, its maddness in MANGO. HUGE sale going on and we concluded that
'' niu ren shi feng kuan de. ''
Grab a lot of clothes and amounted up to 200bucks! But guilt crashed into me la.... I mean... poor mum hafta to strike her card for my clothes... so decided to just get this plain white tee which cost only $15!

Mummy felt like drinking some hot hot coffee so we headed to the outdoor Starbucks.
Busy choosing seats and suddenly person yelled '' Esther Lin''. Wahhhhh... really scare me ar!!!!! Its Sunny! Oh gosh!!! Have not seen after after we graduated!
He makes a wonderful group leader and great coffee! haha!

I love my flexible time table!!!

YEA!!!!!!
I've selected my subjects and my timetable is out all the way to next year's Feb!
Gonna be busy busy busy~

Other then my bridging in Economics and Math,
I'll be doing
1. Principles of Sociology
2. Human Resource Management
3. Management: International and Comparative Perspective (I like this the best!)
4. Marketing (Its gonna be like peanuts to me! hahhaaa)

Kinda cool cos its really flexible as I get to choose which time slot I prefer... and ofcourse, I try to squeeze everything to early morning's lesson.
Thus, I now only have class on Monday morning, Wednesday morning and afternoon, and Friday afternoon! yea! NO WAY, i'm gonna have saturday classes and tonnes of noon classes!
